Working with one senior, fixed-scope studio
What if you're unavailable mid-project? Isn't one senior owner a single point of failure?
Your code lives in your repository from day one, not ours. Every engagement ships documented handover and a runnable setup; for longer builds we name a backup contractor and offer source-code escrow. You are never locked to one person's availability.
Who owns the code and the IP?
You do. On final payment, all source, infrastructure config, and documentation are yours outright, assigned in writing in the SOW. No license-back, no lock-in, no per-seat fees.
How do you handle data residency and privacy under UK GDPR?
We scope data handling up front with an NDA and DPA, keep human review on sensitive AI decisions, and can keep data in your chosen region, including AWS London or your own cloud. We work to both the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR, and document where every piece of data lives.
We're a UK company: how do invoicing, VAT, and IR35 work with an EU vendor?
We invoice from our Polish (EU) entity on standard 30-day terms. For UK VAT-registered businesses the reverse charge applies, so no VAT is added to the invoice. And because this is fixed-scope, contracted-out delivery from an overseas supplier, the off-payroll (IR35) rules are not in scope. We confirm the exact handling before you commit.
What if the build goes wrong, or scope changes?
Scope, exclusions, and acceptance criteria are fixed in writing before work starts, with weekly demos you sign off on and a formal change-order process, with no silent scope creep. If a milestone fails its acceptance criteria, we fix it before it counts as delivered.
